CLI

The Northsun command-line tool offers an offline demo, key validation with login, caller lookup, and live recall; it resolves a key from --key, an environment variable, then local config.

The Northsun command-line tool gives developers an offline sample, key validation, caller lookup, and live recall without wiring an app first. The tool is published on npm under its current scope; the Northsun-scoped package name is in progress. Until it ships, the HTTP calls it makes work directly (see Quickstart); the contact form can supply the current package name.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
demoOffline SAMPLE DATA. No API call, no fabricated timing or confidence numbers.
loginValidates an API key with a side-effect-free caller probe and stores local config.
recallCalls the public voice recall route and renders the returned caller packet.

caller <phone> reads an existing caller profile and whoami confirms which key and base URL resolve.

Configuration

The CLI resolves the key from the --key option, then an environment variable, then local config, in that order. Set the API base to https://mcp.northsun.ai with --base; the published release defaults to an earlier hostname that serves the same surface, so name the base explicitly.

Output

Use --json for machine-readable output. Plain terminal output respects NO_COLOR, --no-color, and non-TTY environments.
